Dinosaur Returns: A new "Jurassic World" film from the writer of the original "Jurassic Park" screenplay is in development
David Koepp, screenwriter of the iconic "Jurassic Park" and its sequel "Jurassic Park: The Lost World", will return to the world of dinosaurs and write the script for the new film "Jurassic World".
Here's What We Know
According to THR, the upcoming "Jurassic World" will not just be a sequel to the original story, but will usher in a "new era of Jurassic" with a "brand new storyline".
Previously, "Jurassic Park" has been rebooted before. "Jurassic World" starring Chris Pratt came out in 2015, followed by "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" and "Jurassic World: Dominion" in 2018 and 2022.
"Dominion" was presented as the last, final instalment of the franchise and additional films were not expected to be made again. But as it turns out, it's not quite that simple.
Here's What The Movie Is About
Recall, the original story tells of a group of scientists visiting a kind of theme park inhabited by dinosaurs, which were recreated using reconstructed DNA from the Jurassic period.
In the new "Jurassic World", the park is a big success and has been for many years, until one of the dinosaurs escapes from its enclosure and tries to eat everyone.
There's no information about the cast yet. But after claims that the film will be completely new and unlike any other, we shouldn't expect any of the previous cast to appear.
When We Can Expect It
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is scheduled to be released in 2025.
