Netflix shows the first footage from the second season of the Squid Game
We wrote that the premiere of the second season of the Korean series Game of Thrones will take place in 2024. A week has passed since the news, and Netflix has shown the first footage of the series.
Here's What We Know
In the photo, you can see actor Lee Jong-jae Lee, who plays Seong Gi-hun, the protagonist of the show. We also saw old friends Lee Byung-hun as the game's host and Gong Yoo, who in season 1 called on people to play the game.
The series' creators separately published a 17-second teaser in which the protagonist talks to a mysterious person on the phone and promises to find him, probably to avenge what happened to the other participants and his friends in the previous game.
As with the first season, Hwang Dong-hyuk will direct and executive produce the series.
The first season told the story of a large group of people who had debts and could pay them off if they survived the deadly survival games. The series received 95% freshness from critics and 84% from viewers on RottenTomatoes.
