Marvel Studios hints at new 'Deadpool 3' logo with Kevin Feigi's cap
Is it safe to assume that the marketing campaign ahead of the summer release of "Deadpool 3" has already begun?
On Sunday night, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige showed up at the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror's annual Saturn Gala wearing a cap with the new Deadpool logo. Of course, this immediately sparked a lot of discussion online.
Here's What We Know
Since the third part of "Deadpool" is the only planned release in 2024 from Marvel, the studio will apparently do everything possible to attract as much attention to it as possible and cause a real "boom" among fans.
In fact, they're successfully doing so, as demonstrated by Feige's appearance at the ceremony.
The logo on the baseball cap splits the faces of Deadpool and Wolverine in half.
With virtually nothing known about the plot of the threequel, many fans are lost in speculation as to whether the third instalment will focus, as before, on Deadpool or venture into X-Men territory, as the logo clearly hints that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is in this film quite a bit.
Deadpool 3's director himself, Shawn Levy, said back during the strikes that they were making "Deadpool starring Wolverine".
"Well, like the rest of our industry, or at least large swaths of it, we are paused. We were halfway through filming Deadpool, co-starring Wolverine. It was a joy every day, and that chemistry is, I have to say, spoiler alert, it is as relentlessly awesome as we had all hoped it would be."
When We Can Expect It
Deadpool 3 is scheduled to premiere on July 26.
