The second instalment of Zack Snyder's latest franchise, Rebel Moon, has officially received a PG-13 rating from MPA's FilmRatings.com.

Here's What We Know

The rating was given due to violent scenes, brief profanity and suicidal moments. "Rebel Moon: Part One: A Child of Fire," which is already available on Netflix, was also rated PG-13.

Snyder previously indicated that both parts will eventually have R-rated director's cut versions that will be released on Netflix at a later date. According to the director, some aspects of the overall story of "Rebel Moon" are completely different in the long-form version.

Here's What The Movie Is About

In "Rebel Moon: Part One: A Child of Fire," when a peaceful moon settlement in the farthest reaches of the universe is threatened by the armies of the tyrant Regent Balisarius, Cora, a mysterious stranger living among the inhabitants, becomes their last hope for survival. Tasked with finding skilled fighters to join forces with her to create a resistance to the Mother World. Cora gathers a small group of warriors - outsiders, rebels, peasants and war orphans from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. Thus a new army of heroes is formed.

"Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver" continues the epic saga of Cora and the surviving warriors who are willing to sacrifice everything as they fight alongside the brave citizens of Veld to protect the once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who lost theirs in the fight against the Mother World. On the eve of battle, the warriors must face the truth about their past, revealing what they are fighting for.

When We Can Expect It
