The upcoming TV series Sugar, which is described as a crime thriller mixed with science fiction, boasts its first trailer.
Here's What We Know
The eight-episode series conceived by "I Am Legend" writer Mark Protosevich and directed by Fernando Meirelles, along with Donald Joh, David Rosen and "Breaking Bad" writer Sam Catlin, has been announced back in 2021. Apple TV Plus won the streaming rights after multiple fights for them between studios and finally "Sugar" got its first trailer.
In the short clip, Los Angeles private investigator John Sugar, played by "Batman"'s Colin Farrell, agrees to take on a missing person investigation but soon realises he is being followed.
Series Overview
John is assigned to investigate the disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the granddaughter of famous Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. The investigation leads him onto dark paths where a hidden truth is revealed.
When We Can Expect It
It is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV Plus on April 5, 2024.
