Rebecca Ferguson and Chris Pratt will star in the sci-fi thriller Mercy

"Dune" star Rebecca Ferguson is reportedly joining Chris Pratt for the lead role in the upcoming sci-fi thriller "Mercy" from MGM Amazon Studios.

Timur Bekmambetov, known for his work on Wanted, has been tapped as director, who will direct from a script by Marco van Belle. Oppenheimer's Majd Nassif and Charles Roven will also be involved in the production. The plan is to start filming in the next few months.

Here's What The Movie Is About

At the moment it is only known that the plot will focus on a detective played by Pratt, who tries to prove his innocence after being accused of a violent crime in order to avoid the death penalty.

What exactly Ferguson's role will be is still unknown, as well as the cast of secondary characters.
