Jake Gyllenhaal wouldn't mind playing Batman in the main DC cinematic universe
For some time, Ben Affleck played the role of the Dark Knight in the main DC cinematic universe, but now the studio is looking for a new Batman, and one of the most famous actors of our time would love to play the defender of Gotham.
Here's What We Know
At the event dedicated to the film Road House, Screen Rant asked Jake Gyllenhaal if he was interested in playing Batman. The actor replied that such roles are classics and a great honour.
We would like to remind you that Jake was previously considered for the role of Bruce Wayne for Christopher Nolan's trilogy, but the role went to Christian Bale.
Today, the role of Batman is a good fit for Jake, because in his latest film (Road House) he plays an MMA fighter, so physically Gyllenhaal is clearly ready to appear as a strong and brutal superhero.
Flashback
DC has the main DCU universe where the main events take place. And it is in the DCU that Batman's "vacancy" is open. But there is also DC Elseworlds. It tells stories that are not related to the DCU. And DC Elseworlds includes Batman (2022) starring Pattinson, so these two Dark Knights will exist separately from each other.
