Toy Story 5 and The Mandalorian and Grog will be released in cinemas in 2026
In 2023, not a single Disney film earned one billion dollars at the box office, which is a real failure for the company. After that, Disney acknowledged the low quality of its latest projects, as the focus was on quantity rather than quality. However, the corporation still has a chance to fix everything, as several interesting releases are waiting for us in 2026.
Here's What We Know
Disney announced the films that viewers should expect in 2026.
The fifth part of Toy Story will premiere on 19 June 2026. The fourth instalment, released in 2019, managed to raise $1 billion.
The last time we went to the cinema to see Star Wars was back in 2019 (when covid had not even started). Now, the franchise will return to the big screens on 22 May 2026, when The Mandalorian and Grog will premiere. Jon Favreau is directing the film, which is a continuation of the series on Disney+, and Pedro Pascal will play the main role.
It has also become known that the remake of Moana starring Dwayne Johnson has been postponed. Now it will be released not in 2025 but on 10 July 2026.
