Lenovo has finally introduced the ThinkPhone smartphone. The full name of the new product is ThinkPhone by Motorola.

Here's What We Know

First let's go over the technical characteristics of the smartphone. ThinkPhone by Motorola has a 6.6" Full HD+ P-OLED display. The matrix has a frame rate of 144 Hz and is protected by first-generation Gorilla Glass Victus. Resolution of the main camera was 50 MP (OIS) + 13 MP + 2 MP, and the front - 32 MP + 16 MP.

The heart of the ThinkPhone by Motorola is a relatively old Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The RAM capacity is 8 GB or 12 GB, and the storage capacity is from 128 GB to 512 GB. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh. The wireless charging capacity is 15 watts, and the wired one is 68 watts.

The smartphone runs on the Android 13 operating system. The case has received water protection class IP68. The MIL-STD-810H standard is also claimed. The ThinkPhone by Motorola is equipped with stereo speakers, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and a fingerprint scanner built into the display.

Lenovo says the ThinkPhone by Motorola is a companion to the ThinkPad series of laptops. The novelty includes not only external protection, but also software protection. Moto Threat Defense technology enhances data security; there's access to ThenkShield and Moto Secure apps. There's a Moto KeySafe chip inside, which takes care of PIN and cryptographic key control, protecting them from intruders.

The ThinkPhone by Motorola can connect to ThinPad laptops via Wi-Fi. The devices will then share a clipboard. Users will be able to share 5G, use the smartphone's camera as a webcam on the computer, quickly transfer files and open Android apps on the laptop. Notifications coming to the smartphone can be viewed in the Windows Notification Center. The last thing to note is the pre-installed Microsoft 365, Team and Outlook apps.
