Czechoslovak Group, General Dynamics and Ukrainian Armor may localise production of ASCOD infantry fighting vehicles in Ukraine
The European branch of the US corporation General Dynamics, the Eastern European industrial conglomerate Czechoslovak Group and the Ukrainian Armor company are considering the possibility of producing ASCOD infantry fighting vehicles in Ukraine.

The information was shared by the press service of the Ukrainian company. Employees of Ukrainian Armor, as well as military men visited the factory in Spain, where they had time to test the combat vehicle, as well as familiarised themselves with the process of production of BMP. Ukrainian servicemen tested the ASCOD in order to compare the properties of the vehicle with existing variants, which are in service with the AFU.

ASCOD (Austrian-Spanish Cooperative Development) is an infantry fighting vehicle, which is in service with the ground forces of Austria and Spain. ASCOD is a versatile platform that can be equipped with various weapon systems: combat modules with 30/40 mm MK 44 Bushmaster type automatic cannons, turrets with 105 mm or 120 mm cannons and anti-tank guided missile systems. ASCOD is equipped with unique ballistic and mine defence systems.
