BAE Systems is developing a new version of the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle with a 35mm cannon for Sweden

Sweden has ordered BAE Systems Hägglunds AB to develop a new version of the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle to replace the BMPs that were handed over to Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
The information was shared by the Swedish Defence Logistics Directorate. The new version will be called CV9035 MkIIIC. Sweden has allocated $3.3 million for its development. The infantry fighting vehicle will boast improved protection, as well as a new 35 mm gun.
The development of the BMP should be completed soon. If everything goes according to plan, Sweden will order a batch of these new combat vehicles from BAE Systems Hägglunds AB as early as 2024.
