Rheinmetall will launch a plant in Ukraine in 2024 to produce Fuchs armoured personnel carriers and Lynx infantry fighting vehicles
German defence concern Rheinmetall is going to open a weapons production plant in Ukraine.

The information was shared by the CEO of the company Armin Papperger, writes the edition WirtschaftsWoche. The plant is planned to open in Ukraine in 2024. It will produce wheeled armoured personnel carriers Fuchs, as well as infantry fighting vehicles Lynx.
The first Ukrainian Fuchs may appear at the end of next summer. As for the Lynx BMP, they want to release it by the summer of 2025. By the way, according to Papperger, Rheinmetall is already making the first batch of Lynx for the AFU. We are talking about 10 vehicles within the framework of joint production between Ukraine, Germany and Hungary. There is no information yet on when the combat vehicles will be ready.
