Meizu 21: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 200 MP camera and RGB ring for $480
Meizu held an event in China where it announced its new flagship smartphone.
Here's What We Know
The novelty was called Meizu 21. The smartphone externally almost does not differ from the previous generation model. The gadget received a 7.9 mm thick metal body with a glass back cover and flat edges. The flagship was equipped with a 6.55-inch display with Samsung OLED-matrix. The panel has an FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification and a peak brightness of 1800 nits.
The Meizu 21 runs a top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The novelty has also installed a 32 MP front camera (Samsung S5KJD1) and a 200 MP triple main camera (Samsung S5KHP3 with OIS) + 12 MP (Samsung S5K3L6) + 5 MP (depth sensor). By the way, around the latter sensor installed RGB-ring, which works as a flash and notification indicator.
The novelty comes with an under-screen fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GNSS and NFC. Out of the box, the smartphone runs Android 14 operating system with Flyme 10.5 shell. The gadget is powered by a 4,800 mAh battery with 80W charging.
Price & When We Can Expect It
Sales of the Meizu 21 will start in China on the 5th of December. The smartphone will be available in four colours and three memory variants:
