Microsoft stops selling Windows 10 Home and Pro
Microsoft will stop selling Windows 10 Home and Pro editions on January 31. This applies to the license keys for the operating systems, which are required to activate and download them. As a reminder, support for Windows 10 is due to end on October 14, 2025.
Here's What We Know
Microsoft has recently updated its Windows 10 product pages to mark the January 31st end date, but it's not clear whether the company will process downloads and license keys that are currently being sold, for example, on Amazon. The Verge asked the company to comment on the situation and received the following response:
"The Windows 10 product page has been updated so that customers have the most up-to-date information about their purchase options for Windows 10," said Amy Bartlow, director of marketing for Windows, in a statement to The Verge . "Customers must purchase Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro from this site by January 31, 2023.".
Despite the fact that the company is phasing out Windows 10, license keys and devices with the OS on board will continue to be available for some time until they are finally replaced by Windows 11.
