Google is still trying to fix Gmail sync issues with Outlook

If you use Google's email client to use Hotmail or Outlook, you may have experienced problems with email synchronisation recently. Google itself says that the issue is probably related to Microsoft's servers and, according to its status page, the company has already contacted Microsoft to resolve the issue.

At first, it may seem that this problem is niche, as Microsoft has its own Outlook client, but Gmail is a pre-installed email application on Android and the system encourages you to add all mailboxes, not just Google's.

At the moment, when you try to upload your Outlook or Hotmail inbox to Gmail, you'll only see your old emails or an error message saying there was a problem syncing the folder and suggesting you try again later. According to Google, the problem affects "all device platforms".
