After Microsoft integrated Copilot into the Office suite, the company decided to turn its attention to cybersecurity and therefore introduced Microsoft Security Copilot, a new assistant for cybersecurity professionals that will make their lives much easier.

Here's What We Know

Security Copilot is built on GPT-4 and looks like any other chatbot. You can ask it, for example, "What are all the security incidents at my company?" and it will summarise them. It looks simple, but behind the scenes, the company uses the 65 trillion daily signals it receives while collecting threat data and specialised security skills to enable security professionals to identify threats.

Microsoft Security Copilot is designed to assist security analysts in their work, not replace them, and includes a whiteboard section for collaboration and information sharing with colleagues. Security professionals can use Security Copilot to help with incident investigations or to quickly summarise events and help with reporting.
