Microsoft has started testing the automatic background removal feature in Paint
Microsoft has started testing a new Paint tool that allows you to remove the background from images. The feature is currently available to Windows Evaluation Program participants in the Canary and Dev channels (version 11.2306.30.0).
Here's What We Know
To use the tool, testers simply open an image in Paint and click the Remove Background button on the toolbar. The background will be automatically selected and cut around the object. In addition, Microsoft provides the option to manually select an area of the background for later removal.
Removing the background in Paint makes the app even more useful. It's usually used for quick image editing, such as cropping, resizing, and adding notes. But users often have to use third-party apps to remove backgrounds, which can be less convenient.
Some apps, such as Canva, limit access to the background removal feature to payment restrictions, while Adobe Express requires you to create an account before using it, so an alternative in the form of Paint may appeal to many users.
