Australia has received the first three of 40 Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters under a $2bn contract
Australia has received the first batch of Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters. They arrived at the Richmond base in New South Wales.

At the end of July, the US Air Force delivered two Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters to Australia using a C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft. They reportedly travelled from a military base to Holsworthy Army Air Field.
A few days ago, a US Air Force aircraft delivered the third air vehicle. Australia has ordered a total of 40 helicopters worth $2bn. They are expected to have flight numbers from A60-001 to A60-040.
The Australian Army has selected the Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk to replace the Airbus MRH90 Taipan. Information about the helicopter fleet upgrade came out in December 2021, with Australia officially announcing the contract in mid-January 2023.
