Motorola Edge 40 - Dimensity 8020, 144Hz display, 50MP camera and IP68 for €550
Motorola has announced another Edge 40 series smartphone. The new product is called the Motorola Edge 40.
Here's What We Know
The smartphone has a body measuring 158.4 x72 x 7.6mm and is water resistant to IP68. The device weighs 167g or 171g. The frame is made of aluminium, while the back cover is made of plastic, but there are versions with leather and faux leather coating.
The Motorola Edge 40 gets a Full HD+ P-OLED display. The panel supports 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and has a brightness of up to 1200 nits. The screen diagonal is 6.55". The display has a built-in fingerprint scanner and a cutout for a 32MP selfie camera.
The novelty features a 6nm Dimensity 8020 processor, which is complemented by 8GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 256GB, the battery capacity is 4,400mAh and the fast charging capacity is 68W (wired) and 15W (wireless).
The Motorola Edge 40 features a dual main camera with 50 MP + 13 MP resolution. The 13 MP sensor is complemented by optics with a viewing angle of 120 degrees. The main module has got optical stabilisation. The camera can shoot video in 4K at 30 FPS and in Full HD at 30-120 FPS.
The novelty is equipped with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, NFC, GPS and USB-C. There is no headphone jack. The model runs Android 13 operating system.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The smartphone will go on sale in three colour variants: Nebula Green, Eclipse Black and Lunar Blue. The Motorola Edge 40 will cost €550.
