Competitor to the Galaxy Flip 4: Motorola presented Moto RAZR 2022 with 144Hz screen, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and 50MP camera
Following Samsung, Lenovo held a major event in China, which showed many interesting new products, including the Moto RAZR 2022 clamshell.
What we know
The new product is positioned as a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Flip 4. The smartphone is equipped with two displays. The main got a 6.7-inch POLED matrix, a frequency of 144 Hz, HDR10 +, 10-bit color and DC Dimming technology. An additional screen, in turn, has the same matrix, but with a diagonal of 2.7 inches. It displays the time and notifications. It can also be used as a viewfinder for the camera.
Above the additional display Moto RAZR 2022 has a dual main camera. The main sensor got a 50 MP module with OIS support. It is complemented by a 13 MP wide-angle lens, which can also be used for macro shooting. The front camera in the novelty for 32 MP. It was installed in the hole of the main screen.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is responsible for the performance of the Moto RAZR 2022. It is paired with 8/12GB of RAM LPDDR5 and 128/256/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone comes with Android 12 operating system and the proprietary MyUI 4.0 filmware. The novelty supports Ready For 3.5 desktop mode. The gadget is powered by a 3500 mAh battery. It supports fast charging at 33 watts. By the way, the Moto RAZR 2022 has no water protection like Galaxy Flip 4.
Price and when to expect
Sales of the Moto RAZR 2022 will start in China on August 15. The smartphone will be sold at the following prices:
- Moto RAZR 2022 8/128GB - $890
- Moto RAZR 2022 8/256GB - $964
- Moto RAZR 2022 12/512GB - $1083
The novelty should also be released in the global market, but when the release will be there is no information yet.
