Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the company's plans, writes that streaming service Netflix is preparing a new budget plan.

Here's What We Know

It's a plan similar to Disney Plus that will contain ads. At the same time, it will cost less - according to the publication, about 7-9 dollars. For comparison, right now the most popular subscription without 4K content support costs $15.49.

As Netflix prepares to introduce ads for the first time, it is trying to find a "middle ground." Ads will reportedly last no longer than 4 minutes per hour - before and during movies and shows. Ads will not be repeated, and there will be no ads in the children's content and Netflix original shows.

Netflix plans to introduce this plan in at least half a dozen markets by the end of the year. And full rollout may have to wait until early next year.

By the way, Microsoft has won the right to be Netflix's exclusive advertising technology and sales partner. The tech giant has little experience in streaming TV, but it has built a $10 billion advertising business over the past few years. So the partnership promises to be productive.
