Netflix will open its venues with games, clothes and food from the shows and series
For years, media companies have used rides, costumes, toys and other consumer products at theme parks to promote their characters and make extra money. Finally, it's Netflix's turn.
Here's What We Know
The company plans to open Netflix House establishments for fans of its shows, films and series. They will be a mix of retail, restaurants and live shows. Here you will be able to dive into the world of your favourite TV shows, buy clothes, eat food from the series and maybe even play the Squid Game.
Netflix has already held theme nights in various cities, but now plans to open permanent locations. Executives see Netflix House more as a way to promote their shows than as a meaningful source of revenue, at least for now.
The company wants to open the first two locations in the U.S. in 2025 and then expand the concept globally.
