OnePlus 12 - Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 24GB RAM, 120Hz display, IP65 protection and Android 14 priced from $605
As expected, OnePlus unveiled its next-generation flagship smartphone on Tuesday. OnePlus 12 debuted in China, and in a month and a half will appear on the international market.
Here's What We Know
The OnePlus 12 sports an LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels. The panel has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a diagonal of 6.82" and a peak brightness of 4500 nits, which is a new record. The matrix is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass.
There is a 32 MP front camera on top. The resolution of the main camera was 50 MP (OIS), + 64 MP (OIS, 3x zoom) + 48 MP (114 degrees). According to the manufacturer, the smartphone supports 4K@30/60fps and 8K@24fps.
At the heart of the OnePlus 12 is a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile chip. The processor is made on 4 nm technology and is complemented by 12-24 GB of RAM. The top-end modification is equipped with a 1TB drive. The battery capacity was 5400 mA*h. Wired charging has a power of 100W (100% in 26 minutes), and wireless charging - 50W (100% in 55 minutes).
The OnePlus 12 arsenal includes stereo speakers, NFC, USB-C, IR port, Wi-Fi 7, in-display fingerprint scanner and Android 14 operating system with ColorOS 14 firmware. The global version will get the OxygenOS 14 shell. The body of the smartphone has IP65 dust and water resistance. The frame is made of aluminium, and the back cover is decorated with Gorilla Glass. Overall dimensions of the case are 163.3 x 75.8 x 9.2 mm with a weight of 220 g. There is no headphone jack.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The OnePlus 12 will go on sale in China on 11 December 2023 in black, white and green body colours. The global version is expected in the second half of next month. You can check out the prices for the Chinese market below:
