OnePlus Nord 2T explodes just six days after purchase

Just a few days ago, we wrote about the OnePlus 8 Pro catching fire on its own. Now a similar incident has happened with another OnePlus smartphone - the OnePlus Nord 2T.

A report of the incident has surfaced on social media. A guy named Vipul bought the phone on May 4 and just 6 days later it exploded on him. It happened while riding his bicycle: the gadget was in his pocket and burnt his skin as a result of the fire. The owner of the phone had to be admitted to hospital, but he is fine now.

According to the source, OnePlus support said that the user was responsible for the explosion.

After the news was posted on social media, the company's support team responded and asked for some details of what happened. "We are deeply concerned to hear about this incident and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We take the safety of our customers very seriously", OnePlus said in a comment.
