At the end of spring 2021, OPPO introduced its Reno 6 Pro+ smartphone. DxOMark experts tested the main camera of the novelty and gave their verdict.

OPPO Reno 6 Pro+ features a Quad camera, the crowning element of which is the main 50MP module based on a Sony IMX766 sensor of 1/1.56" optical format with 1µm pixels. There is no optical stabilization, and the lens has an f/1.8 aperture.

The ultra-wide-angle camera features a 16-megapixel 1/3.09" type sensor with 1µm pixels. The aperture of the optics is f/2.2. The angle of image capture is 123 degrees. Also note the 13 MP telephoto lens (1/3.4", f/2.4) with 2x optical zoom and a 2 MP macro module. Video can be shot in 4K and FHD with a frame rate of 60 FPS.

The strong features of the OPPO Reno 6 Pro+ include the quality of photos and videos in different conditions, fast and accurate autofocus, stable white balance and exposure on the ultra-wide-angle camera. There are disadvantages, too. The main ones are noise, not the best quality telephoto lens, not the best video stabilization when walking and limited dynamic range.

The hero of the news report got 126 points for photo and 108 points for video. With a total score of 121 points, the OPPO Reno 6 Pro+ is positioned at the end of the third ten, equaling the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. At the same time, the OPPO smartphone costs about half as much as the model of the South Korean manufacturer - $600 versus $1,260.

In addition, OPPO Reno 6 Pro+ was in the top 10 in $ 600-800 price range and became the third smartphone OPPO in the overall ranking DxOMark. Only OPPO Find X2 Pro (9th place, 131 points) and OPPO Find X3 Pro (18th place, 126 points) are higher.
