Ukrainian Armed Forces tear apart a Russian Grad multiple rocket launcher system with a cluster munition

The Ukrainian Defence Forces have clearly demonstrated the effectiveness of cluster munitions. A single shell was used to destroy a Russian position with multiple rocket launchers.

Here's What We Know

The 55th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using a cluster munition, tore apart a BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system. A second combat vehicle nearby was damaged.

The type of projectile was not specified. The Ukrainian Defence Forces have M483A1 and M864 cluster munitions in service. The former has 88 combat elements (64 M42 + 24 M46) and the latter has 72 combat elements (48 M42 + 24 M46).
