FPV drone destroyed a Russian 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortar with an accurate hit to its ammunition pack
The Ukrainian Defence Forces have destroyed another Russian 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortar. It was eliminated with the help of an FPV drone.

The self-propelled mortar's ammunition can contain high-explosive and active-reactive mines. The maximum range of fire is almost 20 kilometres. Also in the arsenal of the 2S4 Tyulpan there is a machine gun of 7.62 mm calibre.
The FPV drone hit exactly the ammunition of the self-propelled mortar. The drone was controlled by the operator of the "Asgard" group of the "OCHI" unit.
According to Oryx analysts, the Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed at least 21 2S4 Tyulpan. Another one was damaged. Production of the 2S4 began in 1969 and lasted for almost 20 years. During this time, less than 600 self-propelled mortars were produced.
According to open sources, the Russians have 200 units of 2S4 Tyulpan in storage. Their technical condition is not specified. At the same time, as of 2023, there are less than four dozen mortars in service.
