The Ukrainian SHARK drone helped the US HIMARS missile system destroy a Russian SuperCam S350 UAV crew with a control centre while preparing for a launch
The target of HIMARS was a Russian reconnaissance drone SuperCam S350. It was detected thanks to the Ukrainian SHARK drone.
Here's What We Know
SuperCam S350 is a reconnaissance-class drone. The Russians often use them on the battlefield, and the Ukrainian Defence Forces managed to capture and destroy several drones.
One of them was hit in the spring of 2023. At that time, users on social media actively discussed the drone, as the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force made a small mistake in the summary of destroyed UAVs, writing the letter "u" instead of "a".
The new video shows the defeat of a SuperCam S350 formation along with the control centre. A single high-precision GMLRS projectile was enough to completely destroy the drone, launcher, operators and vehicle. Judging by the video, the Russians were preparing to launch the drone, but HIMARS prevented them.
The SuperCam S350 has a range of 240 km and can climb to an altitude of up to 5,000 metres. The drone has a maximum speed of 120 kilometres per hour and a radio and video range of up to 100 kilometres. The UAV can carry a payload weighing 12kg.
