John Cena to voice his character, Peacekeeper, in Mortal Kombat 1
It has become a tradition in the world of the Mortal Kombat franchise to introduce "guest characters", and the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 will be no exception. Among these characters are Peacemaker from DC, Omni-Man from Invincible, and Homelander from The Boys, all of whom will appear as add-ons after the game's release. The antiheroes will not only recreate the appearance of their television counterparts but will also be voiced by original actors.
Here's What We Know
In an interview with IGN, the head of NetherRealm Studios, Ed Boon, said that John Cena, who plays the role of Peacekeeper in the DC universe, will voice his character in Mortal Kombat 1. It is also known that J.K. Simmons will voice his character Omni-Man. As for Homelander, the question of whether Antony Starr will voice him remains open.
Boone also noted that despite the similarities between Omni-Man and Homelander characters, they will have different unique skills and feel differently.
When We Can Expect It
Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to release on the 19th of September for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
