Dark Messiah of Might & Magic in a new way! Ubisoft has given permission to Arkane Studios to develop a large-scale modification of the cult role-playing game
A group of enthusiasts have been working for several years to improve the famous action-RPG Dark Messiah of Might & Magic from Ubisoft and Arkane Studios, which was released in 2006.
The game was hugely popular due to its advanced technology and a huge amount of gameplay features.
Modders from the wiltOS group planned to modernise the game, add a co-op mode and introduce some modern options, but their work stalled in the last year.
There has been no communication from the developers since 2022, but now they are back in touch with great news.
Here's What We Know
It turns out that the work of wiltOS was closely followed by developers from Ubisoft. The French company was pleased with the success of the modder team and officially gave permission to further work on improving Dark Messiah of Might & Magic without any restrictions.
In addition to improving the action-RPG, the developers from wiltOS will also add a toolkit for players to modify Dark Messiah of Might and Magic on their own.
When We Can Expect It
The release date of Dark Messiah: Co-op is still unknown, you can follow the development progress on the ModDB website.
