Skull and Bones has been in development for so long that gamers no longer expected to ever get to know the game. Its release has been postponed six times, but now Ubisoft is determined to release the game before April 1, 2024.

A few days ago the closed beta testing of the pirate multiplayer action game Skull and Bones was completed and some of its participants shared gameplay clips.

Here's What We Know

An hour of Skull and Bones gameplay has been published on GameRiot's YouTube channel.

The video shows naval battles, story clips, character dialogues, and basic gameplay mechanics.

It won't be a revelation to anyone that the new game from Ubisoft is extremely similar to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (it was created as a multiplayer mode for it), the similarity is noticeable even in such an element as hunting whales and sharks with harpoons. Parallels with Black Flag can be seen in the ship controls and general stylistics.

It should be noted that despite all the scepticism, Skull and Bones looks quite good, but only time will tell if the game will be interesting to the general public.

Skull and Bones will be available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
