Studio CD Projekt RED finally explained what content will appear in Cyberpunk 2077 with the release of the free update 2.0, and what innovations the Phantom Liberty expansion will bring.

Here's What We Know

The free update 2.0:

• Will change the skill and ability development system;
• the implant system will undergo significant changes;
• will revise the behaviour of the police;
• will appear full-fledged battles on cars and vehicles with heavy weapons;
• will introduce new radio stations to the game.

The Phantom Liberty expansion will add:

• new Dogtown neighbourhood;
• an additional storyline;
• many secondary quests and random events;
• additional weapons;
• a biochip upgrade system;
• carjacking missions;
• new vehicles;
• and much more.

When We Can Expect It

The developers have not yet specified when the free update will be released, and Phantom Liberty will be released on 26 September.
Both the add-on and the expansion will only be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
