Square Enix has revealed some new information about Star Ocean: The Second Story R

Recently, Square Enix revealed details of the upcoming release of the remake of the classic RPG Star Ocean: The Second Story R. As the game's release is approaching and is scheduled for early November, the publisher shared new information about the project.

Here's What We Know

One of the news is the published animated opening video of the remake. It offers short samples of the sci-fi fantasy world, characters, and key plot points. The video is set to the song "stella" performed by the Japanese duo SUIREN:

Star Ocean: The Second R promises to be a significant update to the original game, which includes completely redesigned 2.5D graphics, a new combat system, a redesigned soundtrack (but with the option to choose the original), full voice acting and much more.

When We Can Expect It

Star Ocean: The Second R will be released on the 2nd of November for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
