Everything important about the remaster of the cult retro shooter Star Wars: Dark Forces can already be found on the game's Steam page

A few weeks ago developers from Nightdive Studios announced a remaster of the famous retro shooter Star Wars: Dark Forces (1995).

Now the game designers have opened the page of the updated game in Steam, where they shared some details of the game.

Here's What We Know

In addition to the overall graphics update, players will be offered:

• 14 original Dark Forces levels;
• up to 120 FPS at 4K resolution;
• improved lighting and atmospheric effects thanks to enhanced 3D rendering;
• full support for gamepads and their unique features (vibration, gyroscope, tactile feedback).

In Star Wars: Dark Forces, in addition to dynamic firefights with the troops of the Galactic Empire, players will have to solve a number of simple, but fascinating puzzles.

On the Steam page of the remaster the developers reminded the game's plot: the main character will be Kyle Katarn, a former Galactic Empire soldier who sided with the rebels. He will have to infiltrate deep into the Empire to find out details about the Dark Trooper project.

The release date of Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster is still unknown.
