CD Projekt Red has revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 will add three new variants of road shootouts
Along with the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion pack, CD Projekt Red is preparing a large-scale update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 that will add many innovations to the gameplay. This time, the developers talked about shootouts on the roads.
Here's What We Know
Now the game will have 3 new options that will allow you to eliminate enemies in a car or on a motorcycle. You can shoot at other cars with pistols or assault rifles even on the back of a motorcycle, through the windscreen or side window of a car. And in cars with CrystalDome technology, you can simply open the sliding doors and start shooting.
Motorcycles have another interesting feature. You can use melee weapons to attack enemies or even slash the tyres of other cars.
If you play as a nomad, you will have access to new weapons that can be installed on a car with CrystalDome technology. These will be guns that will instantly turn anyone into "Swiss cheese".
And the last, and at the same time the most elegant way is to use new skills for the netranger. Now players have the opportunity to blow up cars, ruin brakes, or remotely overclock cars to the maximum.
CD Projekt Red notes that with these innovations, car racing has become more organic, and wreaking havoc on the streets of Knight City has become easier (and more fun).
When We Can Expect It
The exact release date of the 2.0 update is unknown. Most likely, it will be released on 26 September, right after the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion pack. However, it is worth noting that only PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series gamers will receive the update.
