It has a quality story, exciting multiplayer modes, a lot of interesting innovations, a variety of characters and excellent technical performance.

On the negative side, reviewers mention that in Mortal Kombat 1 returned a lot of characters from the old parts of the series, and the new ones are clearly lacking. Some experts are dissatisfied with the fact that Mortal Kombat starts to look more and more like an average service game with all the negative features of this approach to game development.
