On September 21, CapCom released a storyline expansion for the Resident Evil 4 remake and added new characters to The Mercenaries mode.

Here's What We Know

The storyline expansion is called Separate Ways and will tell the story of Ada Wong, one of the protagonists of the main story of RE 4. The events of the DLC take place in parallel with the plot of Resident Evil 4. The developers note that this is the "missing link in the main story". Therefore, to fully understand the whole picture, fans should read the add-on. It is also made in the genre of survival adventure horror. It is worth noting that a similar expansion was released for the original Resident Evil 4.

Judging by the review of the YouTuber Shirrako, the expansion can be completed in 4 hours. The author liked it and gave it a score of 9/10, but noted that we have already seen all enemies except bosses, and some locations are repeated. But the new weapons, abilities, and story made up for it.

The add-on costs $10 on all platforms, and if you haven't played the RE 4 remake yet, you can get a discount on the basic and deluxe versions of the game on Steam until September 25.

Now for The Mercenaries mode. In it, the player has to defeat 150 enemies before the time runs out. Two new characters have been added to the game: Ada Wong and Albert Wesker.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was released on March 24, 2023 and is available on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
