The creator of Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol leaves his own studio: Glen Schofield leaves Striking Distance
The "father" of Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol - famous developer Glen Schofield leaves the studio Striking Distance he founded himself.
Here's What We Know
As it became known to Bloomberg, Schofield and two members of the studio's management leave Striking Distance at their own will.
Steve Papoutsis, who was the development director and general manager of Striking Distance, will take over the company.
It is not known what influenced such a radical decision of Schofield, but, obviously, the failure of The Callisto Protocol played not the least role in it.
It is not known yet what Glen Schofield will do now, but this is not the first studio he created and left behind. Before that there were Visceral Games (Dead Space) and Sledgehammer Games, which is currently working on Call of Duty games. But a specialist of such level will not stay without a job, and if Glen Schofield decides to continue his career in the game industry - the doors of any company will be open before him.
