Competition has proved to be too serious: the developers of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden have announced a postponement of the release. Don't Nod Studios fears competition for its game with Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2 and Assassin's Creed Mirage
The release of dramatic action game Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden was planned for the 7th of November 2023, but today the developers reported about its postponement.
Here's What We Know
French studio Don't Nod and publisher Focus Entertainment openly admitted that autumn 2023 is so rich in big-budget games that they have to postpone the release date of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.
This is probably the right decision, as Banishers is unlikely to compete with such blockbusters as Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Lords of the Fallen and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
Of course, this decision of the developers does not mean that their game will be weak and uninteresting to the public, but common sense suggests that it will be lost against the background of such novelties.
When We Can Expect It
The new release date for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is 13 February 2024. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
