All the troubles of Ancient Egypt in one video: the developers of Total War Pharaoh released a video in which they talked about the visualisation of the collapse of the great kingdom
Creative Assembly studio has released the fourth development diary of the historical strategy Total War: Pharaoh.
Here's What We Know
This time the developers told about the visualisation of the collapse of the ancient Egyptian empire.
In order to convey the fall of the great kingdom as colourfully and vividly as possible, the game designers resorted to an interesting trick: at the beginning of each game the sun shines brightly over Egypt and does not go behind the clouds, which symbolises the period of prosperity and peace. But as soon as the enemies come to the land of Egypt - the weather begins to deteriorate and the land is covered with natural disasters.
When troubles of Egyptians reach an apogee - catastrophes of biblical scales begin to occur: floods, fires, destructive earthquakes and other disasters. All this is accompanied by strengthening of enemy influence and growth of chaos. To cope with all the adversity, the player needs to make balanced decisions both on the battlefield and in diplomatic negotiations.
When We Can Expect It
Total War: Pharaoh will be released on Steam on 11 October, while Epic Games Store users will have to wait until 2024.
