Old school wins: Peak PayDay 2 online every day is 30-40 000 players, in PayDay 3 this figure is at 11 000
PayDay 3, a co-operative heist shooter, was released on September 21, but the game faced several problems. Most players complained about the lack of diversity in the content and problems with servers. All of this led to the fact that PayDay 2 online performance is much higher than that of the new part.
Here's What We Know
According to SteamDB, PayDay 3 peak online on PC reaches 11-15 000 players daily, while PayDay 2's figure is 30-40 000. Even at the moment of writing this news, 23 000 gamers play PayDay 2, while PayDay 3 has only 4 000. Of course, PayDay 2 was released back in 2013 and since then has received various add-ons and formed a strong fan base around it, as well as having a lower price and system requirements, which also attracts players. However, such a large gap in the online market indicates that Starbreeze Studios has clearly taken a wrong turn and now it needs to correct the situation.
Online PayDay 3 vs PayDay 2
PayDay 3 is available on PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. The game currently has 67 points from critics and 3 points from players on Metacritic.
