The page with Grand Theft Auto 6 on the website of the Australian rating agency, which was actively distributed, is a fake with many inaccuracies

Back in September, Insider Gaming, a portal that often shares true rumours, and one of the authors is a well-known insider Tom Henderson, released a publication explaining the whole situation around the GTA 6 rumours and why it is better not to believe them. The author, Grant Taylor-Hill, explained that the best thing to do in the situation with rumours about the new GTA is to stay calm and evaluate the news that gets into the information space. However, on 11 October, new rumours about GTA 6 began to spread, which unexpectedly turned out to be fake.

Here's What We Know

Reddit, Twitter, and Telegram channels began to actively show that information about GTA 6 appeared on the website of the Australian rating agency. The game was rated "15+", and Rockstar submitted the application on 2 April 2023 (strangely, not on 1 April). Let's figure out why this is a fake.

Firstly, all Rockstar games are written in capital letters. If you open GTA 5 on the same website, it is listed as "GRAND THEFT AUTO V". In the case of GTA 6, we have "Grand Theft Auto VI".

Secondly, Rockstar is also written in capital letters. On the fake GTA 6 page, it is written as "Rockstar Games". Another strange thing is that the page does not list the developer. Although there is a lot of information that is not filled in.

Thirdly, the classification number is strange. In GTA 5, the classification number is 258907, and in GTA 6 it is CLAS-121212, which is just a banal set of ones and twos.

So, this application was not created by Rockstar, but by someone else who wanted to mislead people, and they partially succeeded. We'd just like to remind you that until the official developer account publishes information about Grand Theft Auto VI, you should treat everything with a certain amount of scepticism.
