Battles with enemies in Alan Wake 2 will be "more physical and more desperate", and resources will have to be spent wisely
Kyle Rowley, the game director of Alan Wake 2, told Gamingbolt that Remedy has wanted to make a game with two protagonists since Quantum Break. Now Kyle has told us more about the battles with enemies that await us in the continuation of the Alan Wake story.
Here's What We Know
Compared to the first Alan Wake, Remedy wanted the battles to be "more physical and more desperate". Now enemies are harder to kill and stay on the screen longer, so the team also needed to pay more attention to the quality of animation and correctly represent all the potential states they could be in. This could be a state where the enemies are aware of the player, unaware of the player, or hunting the player.
However, just because enemies are harder to kill doesn't mean they will become sponges. Players will have to use ammo and resources more wisely and be more efficient. You will kill the enemy much more efficiently if you make the right shots or use certain materials.
When We Can Expect It
Alan Wake 2 will be released on 27 October on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
