Game studio Samurai Punk has closed: it was opened in 2014 when there was a shortage of jobs in Australia
Australian game development studio Samurai Punk has ceased to exist after 9 years of work.
Here's What We Know
The studio was opened in 2014 in Melbourne, when there was a shortage of jobs in Australia, and the only way out was either to start a company or move abroad to find a job. At Samurai Punk, people have come together with a common goal - to create exciting and fresh gaming experiences, and the studio is incredibly proud of what they have achieved together.
However, the authors' introspection led to the conclusion that it was time to part ways and embark on new adventures.
Samurai Punk will also retain some support for their games to "ensure the continued existence" of their projects.
Flashback
During its existence, the studio has created JUSTICE SUCKS: Tactical Vacuum Action, TRIOS - lofi beats / numbers to chill to, Roombo: First Blood, Feather, Screencheat, VR game The American Dream, and the latest project of the studio is the shooter KILLBUG, which was released on May 4, 2023.
