Updated classics are in demand again: Stronghold Definitive Edition sales exceeded 100,000 copies in three days
A few days ago the release of an updated and expanded version of the cult medieval strategy game Stronghold, which originally came out in 2001 and won great love of the public, took place.
We can already state that the return of the classic has succeeded.
Here's What We Know
The public warmly welcomed the game, and Steam users are excited about Stronghold Definitive Edition and leave great reviews about the game.
FireFly studio reported that 100 000 copies of Stronghold Definitive Edition were sold in three days, which is an excellent result for an old game in an unpopular genre.
As a reminder, the developers are preparing extensive content support for the game, which implies a lot of free updates and two inexpensive ($3) add-ons.
Let's assume that the success of Stronghold re-release will encourage the developers to release an updated version of another equally iconic strategy game Stronghold Crusader.
