Wargaming managed to raise more than $1 million to buy C-type ambulances: for this purpose, the company sold Ukrainian themed sets in 6 of its games
From 18 October to 1 November, Wargaming ran the WargamingUnited charity project to support Ukraine and purchase ambulances of the C type. In two weeks, the company managed to raise $1 072 940.
Here's What We Know
World of Tanks, World of Tanks Blitz, World of Tanks Modern Armour, World of Warships, World of Warships: Legends, and World of Warplanes featured special Ukrainian themed sets with appearance elements created by artists from Wargaming's Kyiv studio.
The sets were purchased by players from 115 countries. In total, 90,000 themed sets were sold, which helped Wargaming raise $1,072,940. On 13 November, the company announced that it had transferred 100% of each set sold through the UNITED24 platform to purchase C-type ambulances to save lives.
Type C ambulances are specialised resuscitation vehicles equipped with defibrillators, cardiac monitors, oxygen cylinders and ventilators. That is, everything necessary to keep the wounded alive during transport to hospital.
