Silent Hill will be bigger: Konami is recruiting a team to work independently on new games in the iconic horror universe
At least four game projects in the Silent Hill franchise are known to be in development:
- Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team;
- Silent Hill: Townfall spin-off from indie studio No Code;
- A sequel to the main Silent Hill f series from Taiwanese studio NeoBards;
- Unannounced psychological horror Silent Hill: The Short Message.
These projects are being worked on by third-party studios supported by Konami, but the Japanese publisher's plans are much broader.
Here's What We Know
Konami's website published an invitation to hire game designers of various specialisations for Silent Production Team and Konami Digital Entertainment:
Silent Production Team is looking for artists, planners, engineers, and project managers. Please get involved in our work, which has many fans around the world! This is your chance to get involved in game production with an advanced working environment.
Konami explicitly states that the new professionals will have to work in an ultra-modern office with the most powerful computers and the most advanced technology. In addition, it is mentioned that the games will be created on Unreal Engine.
Apparently, the Japanese developer is serious about reviving the once iconic Silent Hill franchise, which is especially surprising after a long downtime and years of releasing low-brow projects and themed merchandise.
