A confirmed failure by the numbers! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023) was the worst game in the series
Immediately after the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023), the game was hit by a barrage of criticism.
Gamers were furious at what is essentially a small add-on that is offered at the price of a full-fledged blockbuster.
In addition, the game has an extremely short story campaign with boring missions, mediocre zombie mode, and the innovations in multiplayer mode were not appreciated by all players. At the moment in Steam the game is recommended by only 28% of customers.
As a result, the new Activision game became the worst game in the Call of Duty franchise.

Tellingly, Modern Warfare III (2023) was ranked 195th out of 199 in the Top Games for PlayStation 5 for 2023 by critics! The shooter even came in behind such high-profile failures as Redfall (56 points) and Forspoken (64 points).
