Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora developers talked about the game's combat system and the differences between the weapons of the Na'vi people and the invaders from RDA
IGN journalists talked to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora developers about the action combat system and showed new gameplay footage with comments from Ubisoft's game designers.
Here's What We Know
The protagonist of the game is a representative of the Na'vi people (Na'vi), who was raised by RDA people, so he can handle both traditional weapons of his people (bows, spears) and weapons of Earth invaders.
The weapons of the Na'vi are extremely stealthy and accurate, and should be used before a major firefight begins. If used properly, the bows of Pandora's inhabitants can hit even the heavy armour of the soldiers' spacesuits. And if you attach a grenade to the arrow, you can destroy a vehicle.
Firearms are noisy, but their striking power is much higher, they should be used in large-scale battles. At the same time, it is almost impossible to use firearms for hunting, as animals sense metal and hide in the forests before the player discovers them.
The developers did not limit gamers in weapons: the game has many types of weapons and in all situations you can use any of them.
The course of the battle is also influenced by the location: the RDA territory is clearly divided into sectors and is all shot through, while the forests of Pandora are unpredictable, it's easy to hide in them and strike an unexpected blow.
When We Can Expect It
