Crossbows have never been so deadly: Path of Exile 2 developers revealed gameplay for the Mercenary class character

Grinding Gear Games studio held a broadcast where they showed gameplay of action-RPG Path of Exile 2 and shared details about the game.

Here's What We Know

New Zealand developers showed gameplay for the character of the Mercenary class (Mercenary).

Heroes of this type master crossbows, which can be modified for other weapons. For example, with the help of certain modules the crossbow can become a shotgun, grenade launcher or machine gun.

Thus, Mercenaries can fire at a large number of enemies without having to get close to the monsters.

Another video was presented during the PC Gaming Show. In it the developers told about some nuances of Path of Exile 2 and its individual elements. So, it became known that in the PC-version of Path of Exile 2 players will have two options to control the character's movements: with the mouse or with the help of WADS keys.

When We Can Expect It

Path of Exile 2 release date is still unknown.

The game will be conditionally free-to-play and will be released on MS, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5.

Closed beta testing is scheduled for 7 June 2024.
